Office Information

Office Hours 9 am to 6 pm Mon - Thurs
  9am to 3 pm Friday
  By appointment Saturday

We find that discussing financial policies up front allows our patients to make better decisions about their health care. It is most important to us that you realize the value of regaining and maintaining optimum health, rather than waiting until your health fails to address it. Should you have any questions about the following or other office policies, please don't hesitate to speak with a staff member.

Policy information provided here includes insurance and financial policies and automobile accident injuries.

Insurance and Financial Policies

  1. Drs. Howard and Wallie are participating providers with:
    • Carefirst/Blue Cross Blue Shield
    • NCPPO
    • PHCS/First Health/Mailhandlers

Dr. Howard is also a participating provider with Cigna

Most insurance companies not listed here offer "out of network" benefits. We are happy to accept assignment and file all claims for you for those companies that will work with us. For those that will not, we will provide an itemized receipt for you to submit with reimbursement.

  1. Please remember that your insurance policy is a contract between you and your insurance company.

  2. Patients are responsible for paying any deductibles and/or copayments, which will vary from policy to policy.

  3. Some insurers limit the number of visits or have calendar-year maximums. It is your responsibility to know these limits; any amount not covered by insurance will be considered an out-of-pocket expense.

  4. We will attempt to accurately estimate your copayments. However, if there is a balance remaining, you will be billed for this difference. If there is a credit, you will be reimbursed or your account credited.

Automobile Accident Injuries

We will gladly work with your auto insurance company. As Maryland is a "no fault" sate, medical bills incurred by you will be paid by your policy, regardless of whose fault the accident was. Your company will, if necessary, get reimbursed by the other driver's insurer.
